Taste of Mississippi 

The 24th annual Taste of Mississippi was be held Monday, March 26, 2012, from 7 to 10 p.m., at Highland Village. The event featured culinary delights from more than 40 fine restaurants, a silent auction and live music by Hunter Gibson and the Gators & Pryor and the Tombstones. All of the proceeds benefitted Stewpot Community Services, whose mission is to provide for the needs of the homeless, elderly and disabled in the Jackson metro area.  

2012 winners were:

• Best Appetizer: Rocky's at Rierwalk
• Best Entree: Kathryn's Steak House and The Holy Smokers of St. Andrews (TIE)
• Best Dessert: That Special Touch
• Best Presentation: The Holy Smokers of St. Andrews.
